Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 - 6:30 pm, Alan Glassman, The “Occultural” Phenomenon of Joseph P. Farrell. An Alternative Interpretation of History. Every once-in-a-while in the development of Western thought there comes along an individual whose ideas challenge the norms of accepted historical narrative. Such is the case with the currently popular and influential American author, researcher, and alternative media personality, Dr. Joseph P. Farrell, who now maintains an authority status on the Web and in alternative literary thinking. To better understand the development of his ideas, we will look at Dr. Farrell’s evolving theses as represented in his writing over the past 20 years while keeping in mind that the vast body of his work contains much of what he calls “high octane speculation.” After an extensive academic background, Dr. Farrell’s first unorthodox writing venture consisted of a trilogy entitled The Giza Death Star in which he states that there is evidence the Giza Pyramids where originally constructed by some “paleoancient” Very High Civilization and that they served as a military compound for which the structures were used as powerful weapons of mass destruction. We will follow the development of Dr. Farrell’s thinking through the technology thereby employed and trace its refinement and use in modern times, including the Nazi Bell, control by international bankers, rogue networks and their hidden finance, the existence of “breakaway civilizations” in our midst, Antarctica, and much more. Alan Glassman is a retired architect who now channels his efforts to his long-time passion for research in post-quantum physics and metaphysical studies with groups based in New York City, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. James Vincent Forrestal was a true American patriot who served his country with honor and distinction throughout the Nineteen Forties. Tuesday, October 16, 2018, 6:30 pm, Laird Scranton, - The Mystery of Skara Brae. Around 3200 BC the first organized farming village in the United Kingdom, known as Skara Brae, made its appearance on Orkney Island in Northern Scotland. Over the next six hundred years, these villagers were also responsible for the construction of a series of megalithic sites, connected in Neolithic times by a road that led to the village. These are recognized precursors to the stone working tradition that later produced such structures as Stonehenge. Traditional archaeology tells us little about where the ancient people who settled on Orkney originated. Surviving artifacts reflect features that have not been successfully tied to any cultural group or ancient locality in the region. However, when viewed from the perspective of comparative cosmology, we find numerous “signatures” of an archaic, pre-Vedic creation tradition reflected in Orkney architecture - the same symbolic tradition that is reflected in ancient cultures in India, Egypt, China, and Northern Africa. These “signatures” take the form of recognizable megalithic forms, names of localities, and even in the specific details of an obscure burial tradition. These suggestive links are upheld by the DNA of various animal and plant species that are unique to Orkney in the UK that tie to the same archaic era in the same region of the Fertile CrescentPerhaps more significantly, attributes of the Orkney sites also suggest an ancestral link to agriculturally-based kingships that arose a century later under poorly-understood circumstances in four regions of the world: Egypt, Ireland, China and South America. In this context there is a rationale by which to see Orkney as a credible source of the Pharaonic tradition in ancient Egypt, linked by many of the same essential traditions, rituals and concepts as the priestly Dogon tribe of Mali.

Tuesday September 11, 2018, 6:30 PM, Nicholas Platco - Top 10 UFO Physical Trace Cases: Physical trace UFO reports were labeled Close Encounters of the Second Kind (CE-II) by Dr. J.Allen Hynek and involve instances where there was a physical interaction between the UFO and its environment. Usually these involve a landing trace, such as depressed grass or soil, but also burned or broken vegetation, residues, and more exotic traces. The program UFO Physical Trace Cases by Dr. Nicholas Platco presents 10 of the top physical traces cases-cases of high strangeness that involved multiple witnesses. The cases presented by Dr. Platco represent just 10 trace/landing events from a UFO database of over 4000 such events. Dr. Nicholas Platco is a retired Astronomy and Meteorology professor at Penn State University. He is a member of MUFON and has been a Field Investigator for MUFON since his retirement in 2015. Dr. Platco currently lives in Skippack, Pennsylvania. His field investigation work for MUFON includes Montgomery County and some of the surrounding counties in Pennsylvania.

Historical UFO sitings at sea and Four nuclear submarines lost at sea. Josephs presentation covered many facts surrounding a number of missing submarines that took place in March and April 1968. Some were Soviet ballistic missile submarines. Joseph was on duty on an Ocean Station patrol on the Coast Guard Cutter Mellon. It was during this patrol that we had a number of unique UFO sightings that included radar and visual verification by a number of witnesses. Three objects passed over the ship traveling at 3500mph having approached the ship from the direction of where the sub was lost. Flying time of note from OSV to that site at that speed recorded and verified was approximately 10 minutes. It is highly possible that the UFO phenomenon, and what could have been a very dangerous “rogue” operation gone array, possibly leading to what could have been one of the most frightening and significant events of the “Cold War”. Even thought this may only be anecdotal data it may help penetrate the veil of secrecy and mystery surrounding the Russian Submarines. Joseph Foster grew up in East Hampton, Long Island, New York and central New Jersey. He enlisted in in the US Coast Guard in 1969 and served thru 1973. While on active duty, with the Coast Guard he served as a Navigator and Signalman “Quartermaster”, on an Ocean Station patrol and participated in “Operation Market Time” in Vietnam.Joseph Foster is a retired Information Technology, Electronics, & Communications Project Manager. Tuesday November 14, 2017, 6:30 PM Cheryl Costa, The National UFO/UAP Sighting Magnitude Study, Since the Condon Study in 1968, there has not been a statistical book compiled or assembled about UFOs/UAPs, so the “National UFO/UAP Sighting Magnitude Study” was undertaken by Cheryl Costa and Linda Miller Costa to meet the critical information needed. The first objective of the “National UFO/UAP Sighting Magnitude Study” was an effort to report measurable sighting statistics over a stable and definable period of time (2001–2015). The secondary objective was to augment County location data in an effort to provide a new way of looking for UFO/UAP patterns. The third objective was to combine Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) data in an effort to get a real perspective on the magnitude of UFO/UAP sightings in the United States. Cheryl Costa’s presentation will report a summary of National UFO/UAP sighting data at a glance and examine the state and county level UFO/UAP sighting stats for Pennsylvania. Driving home after a day of clearing brush and trees in the forest, six lumberjacks come upon a 40-foot disk hovering silently over the crest of a ridge. As if spellbound, Travis Walton jumps from the passenger side, running towards it for a closer look. That decision November 5, 1975 would change him and these loggers for the rest of their lives. The 21 year-old logger from Snowflake Arizona disappeared for five days, igniting a firestorm of controversy aimed at the logging crew who were the last to see him in the forest. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, 6:30 pm, Joe Foster -"One man's life and his UFO related experiences". Joseph spent the first of his formative years growing up in East Hampton, LI, NY before moving to a farm in New Jersey. He enlisted in the US Coast Guard in 1969 serving thru 1973. During this time he encountered several UFO related events he considered transformational. While in the U.S. Coast Guard he was trained as a Navigator and Signalman (Quartermaster) performing those duties on board a high endurance, Coast Guard cutter, the USCGC Mellon. He served both on Ocean Station patrols (Victor) as well as well as having deployed to the Republic of Vietnam as part of Operation Market Time.

Joseph’s background includes; Project/Program management, IT, Science & Technology, and Communications. He also worked for the FBI in Tech Services, managed a data center for Merrill Lynch. During the time he spent with Merrill Lynch as an AVP (Assistant Vice President), historically, his operation cleared the first government security on behalf of the parent company, ML&Co with the Federal Reserve Bank of NY. His FedWire Data Center cleared $billions in Government Securities and funds transfers on a daily basis. Joe also provided leadership and program direction in the development of new technologies for the Department of Defense and the aerospace industry. Among these new technologies included; an automated gun sight with heads up display, an advanced waste to energy system and the promotion of an innovative data storage technology using a crystal as a high capacity storage medium. Joseph’s presentation will focus primarily on his experiences while in the Coast Guard and information related to the military and UFOs. He will speak specifically of events having taken place at sea dovetailing with interesting information that surfaced, quite by accident during a conversation with a person whom he considered “In the know” about UFO related “events”. He discusses these items from first hand experience including the anecdotal information subsequently acquired. These events are just a part of other incidents having taken place throughout his life, the first at the age three. Other non-military related events to be discussed at a later date.

His experiences represent a personal journey and his effort of trying to understand them. This is what inspired this lecture, created specifically for Main Line MUFON. Joseph believes our lives are connected to the unknown with a “silver” thread and if we accept that which is offered, there is an opportunity to attain valuable insights into not only ourselves but also the universe in which we live. Tuesday, February 14th, 2017, Title: UFOs, Aliens and Disney - Alien Encounters From New Tomorrowland, program presented by Bob Terrio, On June 20th, 1995 a new attraction: The ExtraTERRORestrial Encounter opened in Tomorrowland in Disney-world. The attraction simulated the teleportation of a monstrous alien creature to Earth, which then escapes to terrorize the guests. It was so scary and "un-Disney-like" it closed several years later. To promote the attraction Disney produced a documentary "Alien Encounters from New Tomorrowland". Surprisingly the narrative supports the belief that UFOs are real and extraterrestrial in origin, including statements like, "For nearly fifty years, officials have been documenting routine alien encounters here on Earth." and "Indications are that government, military and scientific leaders will soon release a half-century of official documentation of on-going alien encounters on Earth." The documentary, produced by Andrew Thomas, was broadcast on only a handful of TV stations without promotion.

Bob Terrio, video producer, has had a life-long interest in both UFOs and Disney. He will show the documentary, as well as footage of the attraction he "covertly" recorded at the park in 1996. Bob will also present insights into the making of the documentary in addition to a brief history of Disney's relationship with the government, military, FBI and CIA. You will also hear about a little known UFO conference that Disney hosted and sponsored at Disney-world to help promote the attraction. This is another side of Disney that most people don't know about.
